A little bit about me...
I was born in South Carolina, but Gainesville has been my home for ten years now. I am the oldest of five children, so I have always been a natural leader and had a desire to look out for others. Church and family are central parts of my life, and they have made a major impact on who I am today. I love photography, spending time in the mountains, expanding my creativity through music & art, and being a Florida Gator!
Soon after discovering a love for anatomy and biology, I realized that nursing was a great fit for me. I have aspired to this goal since the beginning of high school, and I am excited to say that I will be graduating from the University of Florida with my BSN degree in the spring of 2020. I would love to go on to pursue an advanced degree, and plan to work specifically with pediatrics in community heath.
Despite my frequent travels around the United States and desire to see and experience new places, I had never been out of the country before traveling to Grenada. As soon as I saw this study abroad opportunity, I knew it was something I wanted to participate in, not only to expand my perspective as a future nurse, but also to broaden my experience as a person. I have wanted to make the most of every opportunity at the University of Florida, and this study abroad program opened my eyes far more than I thought it could.
